A cyclist has been hospitalized with serious injuries following a collision.
On Tuesday, October 3rd, at roughly 6:44 a.m., a collision occurred between a cyclist and a motor vehicle in the area of Lakeshore Road East and Watson Avenue in Oakville. The adult male motorist, an Oakville resident, sustained no injuries; however, the adult male cyclist, an Acton resident, was transported to hospital for emergency medical treatment.
Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) officers attended and secured the scene and began the initial investigation. Due to concerns surrounding the cyclists injuries, the Collision Reconstruction Unit responded and took carriage of the investigation.
The intersection was restricted to vehicular traffic for roughly five hours while the investigation was conducted. Investigators conducted aerial photography and 3D imaging to document the scene.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
