A Halton Hills man has been arrested in connection to a robbery and two attempted robberies across Peel.
On Friday, September 22nd, at roughly 10:40 a.m., two suspects attempted to commit a robbery at a commercial business in the area of Mavis Road and Britannia Road West in Mississauga. At roughly 11:20 a.m., the same two suspects are believed to be involved in another attempted robbery at a commercial business in the area of Southdown Road and Royal Windsor Drive in Mississauga. At roughly 1:05 p.m., the same suspects attended another commercial business in the area of Williams Parkway and Torbram Road in Brampton, where they committed an armed robbery using a firearm.
After an investigation, Peel Regional Police located and arrested one of the suspects in Georgetown. The suspect was found to be in possession of a replica handgun and other offense related property.
20-year-old Dasaun Norris has been charged with:
- Robbery
- Attempt to Commit an Indictable Offence (two counts)
- Wear Disguise with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence
- Use Imitation Firearm
Norris was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice.
The investigation is ongoing. There was no mention of the second suspect.
