Milton Mayor Gord Krantz with UWHH President Brad Park
The Mayor’s Golf Tournament was a huge success for United Way Halton & Hamilton (UWHH).
On Friday, September 8th, 250+ golfers raised $200,000 during the 23rd annual Mayor’s Golf Tournament for United Way in Milton.
Each year, local workplaces, donors and sponsors who live and work across Milton take part in the event. The money raised supports the people and families who depend on critical programs and services in the area.
Since its inception, the Mayor’s Golf Tournament has contributed more than $3.2 million to local annual United Way campaigns. Funds raised are directed to United Way-approved social service agency programs designed to help Milton residents and families.
“We know that nothing matters more than community,” says Brad Park, President and CEO of United Way Halton & Hamilton. “At United Way, we address the challenges that individuals and families are facing daily. Through a collective effort with our esteemed partners, we strive to design solutions that foster the well-being of those who call this community home. In Milton, individuals encountering significant barriers can access vital support from programs, ensuring they receive the assistance they need. This golf tournament is a great example of how United Way events showcase the profound impact that the local community can make when we unite to support our families, friends and neighbours.”
United Way Halton & Hamilton will formally announce their 2023/2024 fundraising goal for the community on Saturday, September 16th at their annual Plane Pull event.
