
A Brampton man is facing charges after a teen noticed someone trying to film him over the top of a bathroom stall.
Halton Regional Police say a 13 year old boy out to watch a movie at the Cineplex Cinemas on Winston Park Drive in Oakville in in March when he noticed the camera.
Through the course of investigation, police were able to identify the suspect and an arrest was made April 1.
30 year old Robert Russell of Brampton was charged with Voyeurism.
It was then determined that between October 2021 and March 2023, the accused had attended approximately 30 locations across the GTA and one location in Montreal, where he
entered the men’s public washrooms and secretly recorded males.
The victims appear to range in age from 3-years to adult.
Russell was re-arrested on August 3, and is facing charges of Voyeurism, Making Child Pornography and Possession of Child Pornography.
Police believe there may be additional victims and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
