We have the latest impaired driving report from the Halton Police.
There were six cases across Halton this past week:
On Sunday, July 16th, Halton Regional Police Service officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Burloak Drive and Mainway in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, a 32-year-old Mississauga man was charged with operation while impaired and failure or refusal to comply with demand.
On Monday, July 17th, Halton Regional Police Service officers responded to a collision in the area of Fairview Street and Woodview Road in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, a 35-year-old Grimsby man was charged with operation while impaired.
On Monday, July 17th, Halton Regional Police Service officers responded to a collision in the area of Linmouth Trail and Falmouth Trail in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, a 49-year-old Waterdown man was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On Tuesday, July 18th, Halton Regional Police Service officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Brant Street and North Service Road in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, a 53-year-old Oakville man was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On Wednesday, July 19th, Halton Regional Police Service officers responded to a single vehicle collision in the area of Queen Street and Churchill Road South in Acton. As a result of an investigation, a 29-year-old Halton Hills man was charged with operation while impaired and failure or refusal to comply with demand.
On Thursday, July 20th, Halton Regional Police Service officers responded to a collision in the area of Lakeshore Road West and Belvedere Drive in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, a 22-year-old Oakville man was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

Remember, driving under the influence is considered a crime in progress. Call 9-1-1 if you suspect that someone on the road is driving impaired.
Here are some signs of an impaired driver provided by the Halton Police:
- Driving unreasonably fast, slow or at an inconsistent speed;
- Drifting in and out of lanes;
- Tailgating and changing lanes frequently;
- Making exceptionally wide turns;
- Changing lanes or passing without sufficient clearance;
- Overshooting or stopping well before stop signs or stop lights;
- Disregarding signals and lights;
- Approaching signals or leaving intersections too quickly or slowly;
- Driving without headlights, failing to lower high beams or leaving turn signals on; and,
- Driving with windows open in cold or inclement weather.
The HRPS says that its officers remain committed to road safety through prevention, education, and enforcement initiatives.
