We have the latest impaired driving report from the Halton Police.
There were eight cases across Halton last week and over the long weekend:
On Monday, June 26th, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Third Line and Westoak Trails Boulevard in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, a 50-year-old Oakville woman was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On Wednesday, June 28th, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of No 1 Side Road and Cedar Springs Road in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, a 31-year-old Hamilton man was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On Saturday, July 1st, Halton Police officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision in the area of Thompson Road and Steeles Avenue East in Milton. As a result of an investigation, a 53-year-old Oakville man was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On Saturday, July 1st, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Regional Road 25 and Derry Road in Milton. As a result of an investigation, a 64-year-old Toronto man was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On Sunday, July 2nd, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Halton Hills Drive and Princess Anne Drive in Halton Hills. As a result of an investigation, a 21-year-old Ancaster man was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On Sunday, July 2nd, Halton Police officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision in the area of Great Lakes Boulevard and Rebecca Street in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, a 39-year-old Oakville man was charged with operation while impaired.
On Sunday, July 2nd, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Division Street and Acton Boulevard in Halton Hills. As a result of an investigation, a 46-year-old Halton Hills man was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On Monday, July 3rd, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Yates Drive and Lott Crescent in Milton. As a result of an investigation, a 21-year-old Milton man was charged with operation while impaired and failure or refusal to comply with demand.

Remember, driving under the influence is considered a crime in progress. Call 9-1-1 if you suspect that someone on the road is driving impaired.
Here are some signs of an impaired driver provided by the Halton Police:
- Driving unreasonably fast, slow or at an inconsistent speed;
- Drifting in and out of lanes;
- Tailgating and changing lanes frequently;
- Making exceptionally wide turns;
- Changing lanes or passing without sufficient clearance;
- Overshooting or stopping well before stop signs or stop lights;
- Disregarding signals and lights;
- Approaching signals or leaving intersections too quickly or slowly;
- Driving without headlights, failing to lower high beams or leaving turn signals on; and,
- Driving with windows open in cold or inclement weather.
The HRPS says that its officers remain committed to road safety through prevention, education, and enforcement initiatives.
