South Simcoe Police have installed Automated-Licence-Plate Reader technology to MORE vehicles in their fleet.
Two vehicles were originally outfitted in 2011 with the technology that automatically runs license plates to verify permit and plate status.
With the help of a provincial grant, 14 frontline vehicles now have the new system, marking a significant advancement in the Police Services’ ongoing commitment to traffic and
community safety.
Drivers are reminded licence plates must be registered.
Failure to do so, can result in a $110 fine.
