Canada’s largest summer reading program is about to launch in Milton!
The Milton Public Library (MPL) will take part in the 2023 TD Summer Reading Club. First put together by the Toronto Public Library, the annual campaign is held by 2,200 public libraries across Canada.
It’s free and is available for pre-reader and school age children. The MPL will be using the online platform known as Beanstack! You can access it on your computer, or through a mobile app that you can download for free to your smartphone.
Participants are asked to keep track of their reading between Saturday, June 24th and Saturday, August 19th. There will lots of prizes available and the more you read, the more chances you have at winning.
Children between the ages of 13 – 17 can also participate with the Teen Summer Reading Club. The MPL says it works the same as the TD Summer Reading Club, and you can also sign up online on Beanstack through your computer or through a mobile app on your phone. It will also start on June 24th and run until August 19th.
