The smoke continues to be an issue here locally with the wildfires blazing across the country.
To help limit the risk in Milton, the Town of Milton and the Milton Fire Department have officially declared a burn ban.
According to the Ontario Government, a burn ban includes:
“all burning, including grass, debris and campfires, even when using an outdoor fire grate, fire place or fire pit.”
The burn ban will be lifted once air quality improves around town. Until then, avoid any open fires outdoors.
A reminder to residents that due to the extreme weather conditions & poor air quality, a burn ban is in effect in all of Milton. pic.twitter.com/DY1oXQrKXC
