Road closed sign
A busy Milton road will have lane closures this week as Town staff work on a storm sewer network.
On Ontario Street South, from Main Street East to Derry Road, there will be a CCTV investigation. The Town says this project is used to identify deficiencies in the storm sewer network and is required to inform future construction projects.
“Storm Sewer rehabilitation related to the scope of this project plays an essential role in the general upkeep of Town owned assets, and provides an increased return on investment for our residents,” the Town says in a release. “They are also essential in maintaining sewer function, ensuring adequate quantity control during storm events.”
With this storm sewer investigation, there will be lane closures. The Town says the closures will occur overnight to avoid the busiest hours. It will start Monday, June 5th at 9:00 p.m. It should reopen by the morning and is expected to be done entirely by Friday, June 9th at 6:00 a.m.
All road closures can be found using the Town’s interactive road closure map.
