A Richmond Hill man is facing multiple charges and the Children’s Aid Society has been notified after police discovered a loaded gun in a child’s closet.
As part of an investigation of a suspected drug trafficker that began in May, York Regional Police were searching an apartment on Thursday (may31) when they discovered the loaded 9mm handgun wrapped in a sweater, in a closet, next to a crib.
Three children, aged three, eight and 12, were in the home at the time.
The 33-year-old man is facing a long list of charges including possession of a loaded firearm, trafficking cocaine and utter threats.
