You can ‘Slay Your Way’ to a waterfall this weekend!
Conservation Halton will be holding a family-friendly guided hike out to the waterfall at Hilton Falls. It’s part of their 2023 ‘Pride in Nature’ programming. There is a gate fee. It’ll be on Saturday, June 3rd, at 10:00 am at Hilton Falls Conservation Area.
A BBQ cookout is also planned for Friday, June 9th at Area 8 Conservation Area. There will be music, hiking, fun over-sized lawn games, and bonfires on the beach. It’ll run from from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. It’s $10 per person plus a gate fee.
If the water is more your thing, you can try the kayaking event! ‘Whatever Floats Your Boat’ will be on Saturday, June 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Kelso Lake. As Conservation Halton says ‘get flam-buoyant!’ You can also try fishing and there will be canoes, kayaks, paddleboats, and stand-up paddleboards available. It’s $10 per person plus a gate fee.
The last Conservation Halton Pride event planned for June is ‘Climb As You Are’. It’s exactly as it sounds: an evening climbing at Kelso Conservation Area. That’s on Wednesday, June 21st at 6:00 p.m. It’s $10 per person plus a gate fee.
