Three people have been arrested in a local drug trafficking investigation.
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says the investigation began in April. Officers with the 3 District Criminal Investigations Bureau / Street Crime Unit were looking into drugs transactions occurring within the area of Cleta Drive and Queensway Drive in Burlington.
A Controlled Drug and Substances Act search warrant was executed on Thursday, May 11th at an address on Queensway Drive. As a result of the search, the following items were seized:
- Approximately 22 grams of methamphetamine
- Approximately 51 Oxycodone pills
- Approximately one gram of fentanyl
- Approximately $5000 in Canadian currency
- Drug indicia including digital scales, packaging, needles etc.
40-year-old Renee Hamilton of Burlington was arrested and charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Oxycodone
- Possession of Fentanyl
40-year-old Kaylee Scrianka of Burlington was arrested and charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Oxycodone
- Possession of Fentanyl
- Failure to Comply with Probation Order
35-year-old Andrew DiPaolo of Burlington was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of Fentanyl
Hamilton, Scrianka, and DiPaolo were released on Undertakings.
