A halal food festival is coming back to Milton!
The Halal Food Tour was a massive success in our town last year, with founders NMTO (Night Market Toronto) Inc. saying they had over 40,000 people to the Milton GO station in one weekend.
NMTO’s aim is to ensure that the Muslim community has peace of mind when coming to the food tour, where no concerns should be felt and everything should be enjoyed. For six straight weekends across the GTA, Milton included, vendors will be strictly serving all, hand-slaughtered halal meat and poultry from The Meathead Store. No pork; no alcohol; no cross-contamination.
Receiving international recognition for their halal tour last year, NMTO is only planning to create a bigger impact within the community with more vendors, rides, and new programs for everyone to enjoy.
They’re back at the GO station this weekend, with roughly 18 food vendors visiting the community:
- Friday, May 19th, 4:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
- Saturday, May 20th, 2:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
- Sunday, May 21st, 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
