Construction sign with worker
The Town of Milton will be closing Fifth Line several times this year to repair a section of the road.
From south of Main Street East to south of Derry Road, workers will be facilitating road work on Fifth Line this summer and fall. That includes:
- Widening and urbanization of Fifth Line from a two-lane rural section to a four-lane urban section including on-street bike lanes and multi-use pathways.
- Traffic signal modifications and/or installations at Yukon Court, Labrador Avenue and Derry Road.
- Replacement of multiple road culvert crossings.
- Storm sewer installation.
- Installation of street lighting.
Traffic will be detoured via Main Street East, James Snow Parkway and Derry Road.
All road closures can be found using the Town’s interactive road closure map.
