Tyler Hopkins, Kingston Frontenacs
A Campbellville-native will look to take the next step in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL)!
Tyler Hopkins was taken fourth overall by the Kingston Frontenacs in the 2023 OHL Priority Selection. He has now signed a Standard Player Agreement.
“We are extremely excited to be bringing Tyler into our organization,” Frontenacs General Manager Kory Cooper told the OHL. “Tyler is a highly skilled, 200-foot player who has an extremely mature game for a 16-year old player. He has a high compete level, a natural scoring touch, and is a strong skater. We see Tyler as a future leader of our team.”
Born in 2007, Hopkins spent the 22-23 hockey season with the U-16 Halton Hurricanes in the South Central Triple-A Hockey League. Serving as the team’s captain, he scored 37-goals and 32-assists in just 31-games.
Congrats, Tyler!
