Children and seniors in Milton can soon connect through art.
In collaboration with Arts Milton, and thanks to the Seniors Community Grant Program, the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton is introducing a free six-week art program called Milton Generations Creative Exchange. It’s aimed at connecting seniors 55+ and preschoolers ages 4-5. This program was created in response to the Avenues of Action outlined in Milton’s Culture Plan.
Interested participants can register individually and will be matched with either a preschooler or senior. Each week, participants will partake in an art activity and share a snack break together.
At the end of June, the Milton Generations Creative Exchange will be invited to a public reception and have their work displayed in a gallery exhibition at the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton.
The program starts on Sunday, May 7th and runs every Sunday at the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton in the Tim Hortons Children’s Art Studio. Registration is available online.
