An 89-year-old Oakville man is dead after being hit by a car while crossing an intersection.
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says the collision happened at roughly 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 22nd. A 44-year-old Oakville woman was driving a white Honda Civic northbound on Trafalgar Road, north of the QEW. That was when the man was using his walker to cross the intersection of Trafalgar and Marlborough Court. The car struck the man, killing him.
The intersection was closed for roughly four hours for investigation. The Collision Reconstruction Unit assumed the lead role in the investigation with support from Forensic Identification Officers and other uniformed members. A member of the Regional Coroner’s Office also attended the scene.
