A Milton man is celebrating a big lottery win!
Tonyben Esquivel was dealt a winning hand in the March 9th POKER LOTTO draw. He matched five of five cards to win $100,000.
The food industry worker says this is his first big win.
“I’ve been playing since for over 20 years,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “When I checked my ticket at the ticket checker and saw I won $100,000, I almost screamed! My heart was pumping so fast!”
When he shared the news with his kids, they share his excitement.
“They said ‘You must be joking!’”
Esquivel plans to help his kids with their education, renovate his home in the Philippines and buy a car.
“I feel like the luckiest man in Canada.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Regional Road 25 in Milton.
