A rummage sale is being held in Milton this weekend!
The event has been held every year for roughly 20 years now. The Milton District Hospital Auxiliary hold it to raise money for the local hospital. Even during worse of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was held in the driveways of volunteers.
Director of communications for the Auxiliary Pat Cluett explains the concept of a rummage sale.
Donations are being accepted from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 21st. You can bring any used goods you wish to donate to the back packing lot at the Grace Anglican Church at 317 Main Street East in Milton.
Cluett says you can grab great items every year, but she always looks for certain things.
The Auxiliary represents the more than 300 volunteers at Milton District Hospital. Their volunteers plan small community based events to raise much needed funds for the hospital. The Auxiliary operates the gift shop at Milton District Hospital with 100% of the profits being directed to our support of essential medical equipment and the delivery of patient programs. Cluett thanks every volunteer who finds the time to help out, and she hopes you can stop by and donate what you can.
The annual rummage sale will start on Friday at the Grace Church. It officially runs from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. It will then start back up on Saturday, April 22nd from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., or until supplies last.
