The Rotary Club of Milton is bringing back its Denim and Diamonds Spring Gala!
It’ll be the first time since 2019 that this event will be held in Milton. It’s raising money for the Milton District Hospital Foundation (MDHF) and the Townsend Smith Hospice Foundation (TSHF).
Rotary Board Member Rod McLachlan says it’s not like your other galas.

He adds that talks were had to hold the event last year, but with the COVID-19 restrictions in early-2022, the decision was made to hold off until there was a more clear future.
What can you expect from a country-themed gala? McLachlan says bring your cowboy hat and boots and expect a fun night!
There will also be a silent auction and live auction to go with the music and dinner. The most popular item every year is a wheelbarrow full of wine. McLachlan says that, in the past, the wheelbarrow has been so full with bottles that the winners have had a hard time getting it to the their vehicles.
The Denim and Diamonds Spring Gala will be on Saturday, April 22nd at The Grand Chalet & Tony Spiducci Ristorante at 324 Steeles Avenue East in Milton. It’ll start at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are on-sale now! Single tickets are $125, but you can reserve a table of eight for $950. McLachlan says they’ve tried their best to keep prices low, but with the rising cost of food and other expenses, they wanted to make sure the associated charities (MDHF and TSHF) received a fair donation.
