A Georgetown man is facing charges after brandishing a reported firearm in Mississauga.
On Tuesday, March 14th, officers with Peel Police responded to a threatening call-for-service in Mississauga, where it was believed that someone had allegedly brandished a firearm.
Less than a week later, on Monday, March 20th, officers executed a Criminal Code search warrant for a vehicle and a residence in Georgetown. They seized a quantity of illicit drugs, prohibited weapons and a replica firearm/BB Gun. In addition, the suspect was found breaching multiple conditions of his previous release along with a weapons prohibition order.
30-year-old Zenon Squire of Georgetown was arrested and held in custody for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice. He has been charged with the following alleged Criminal Code offences:
- Point Firearm
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Utter Threats
- Fail to Comply with Release Order
- Breach of Weapons Prohibition
- Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
