Round two of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) playoffs has been announced.
The Milton Menace will take on the Collingwood Blues. The last time these two teams played each other was on Saturday, March 4th. It was the final game of the regular season for both teams. While it was a tight match-up, the Blues beat the Menace 2-1. Read the full recap here.
It was quick first round around the league. The Menace made quick work of the Pickering Panthers, winning the series 4-1 to make up for a 2022 North/West Conference final 3-0 series sweep. The Collingwood Blues managed to sweep the Stouffville Spirit 4-0 in their first round match-up. The Blues outscored the Spirit 22-5 in those four games.
The Blues were the best team in the OJHL North/West Conference. They had a dominant 44-9-0-1 record this past season, giving them 89 points. As for the Menace, they were 31-19-2-2 with 66 points. If the Menace are to win this series, they’ll need to play hard and get a bit of puck luck.
Game one of the seven-game series will start at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 24th at the Eddie Bush Arena in Collingwood.
The rest of the series is scheduled for:
- Game #2 – Sunday, March 26th – 6:30 p.m. – Collingwood at Milton (Milton Memorial Arena)
