Edmonton police say the suspect in the killing of two officers at an apartment complex in the city is dead.
Chief Dale McFee told a news conference the suspect is believed to have died of self-inflected wounds, and a woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police have also confirmed two officers, aged 30 and 35, were shot while responding to a domestic dispute call.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau extended his condolences on Twitter to the loved ones of the two officers.
