While flooding is not expected at this time, the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority wants everyone to be aware of the potential dangers around area waterways.
A reminder from the NVCA advises parents and pet owners to keep a close eye on children and animals with warmer temperatures in the forecast and March Break underway.
The spring weather will bring rain and melting snow, which will breakup the ice along watercourses and lakes and cause higher than usual stream flows.
They recommend everyone play it safe stay well back from waterways as the snow and ice melts.
