A 17-year-old male student at Georgetown District High School (GDHS) has been arrested following a stabbing.
GDHS entered a lockdown Thursday afternoon while nearby Christ the King Catholic Secondary School, Holy Cross Catholic Elementary School, and Gary Allen High School were placed in a hold and secure.
One student was transported to hospital and has non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was then arrested and is now facing aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. The lockdown and hold and secures were lifted.
The young offender was held in custody pending bail hearing. A name was not provided due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
