The Milton Menace have two more games to go in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) regular season.
The boys will host the Burlington Cougars on Wednesday, March 1st at the Milton Memorial Arena. The last time these teams faced off against each other, the Cougars won 5-4. Read the recap here.
The playoff-bound Menace are 31-17-2-2 through 52 games this season. That gives them 66 points and places them in fourth in the OJHL North/West Conference. They’re two points up on the Pickering Panthers and 13 points back of the third place Burlington Cougars. The Menace rely heavily on star player Aidan Hughes, who leads the team with 31 goals and 45 points in 52 games. View their player stats here.
Burlington is currently battling for second place in the conference with their 38-12-1-2 record. They have 79 points and could pass the Georgetown Raiders with a win over the Menace. That said, the Raiders have two games in hand and also play Wednesday night. Burlington has one of the best goal scorers in the entire OJHL, with Jack Richard scoring 53 goals in 51 games played. The final regular season game for the Menace will be on Saturday, March 4th against the Collingwood Blues at the Eddie Bush Arena.
