49-year-old Marlena Gruenwald of Burlington matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the Wednesday, January 4th LOTTO 6/49 draw to win $100,000!
She was in complete shock when the lottery terminal froze as the cashier scanned her ticket.
“I couldn’t believe it when I saw $100,000. I was in disbelief – especially because I won on the $1 ENCORE,” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “It was a very exciting experience.”
Marlena says her plan is to buy some new furniture, head out to Canada’s east coast for a trip and make some investments. After all that, she might even enjoy a spa day!
The winning ticket was purchased at L&I Variety on Guelph Line in Burlington.
