The Halton Region has shifted to COVID-19 updates once a week.
The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show eight additional deaths in the totals. Six of the deaths were reportedly Burlington residents, giving the city 196 total deaths. The other two were Oakville residents, giving the town 144 total deaths. Milton remains at 84 deaths total. Halton Hills remains at 74 total deaths. Halton is now at 498 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 125 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 58,267. There have been 1,758 total hospitalizations in Halton and 498 deaths.
In Milton, we had 25 new cases. That brings us to 15,020 total cases. There have been 402 total hospitalizations in Milton and 84 deaths.
There are currently no outbreaks reported in Milton.
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,540,646 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,374,150 of the doses were to Halton residents.
