The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says an armed robbery took place at a home in Halton Hills.
On Tuesday, January 24th, at roughly 12:40 p.m., two suspects knocked on the door of a home in the area of Trafalgar Road and 5 Side Road in Halton Hills. One of the suspects was wearing an orange reflective vest and asked if the resident had time to complete a survey.
The resident of the home declined and the suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded to know the location of any jewelry in the house. The two suspects then entered the home in search of valuables and took items including watches and a cell phone. The suspects then left in a dark coloured sedan.
Police have since recovered the stolen vehicle used in the robbery in Peel region; however, no arrests have been made.
Suspect one is described by the HRPS as a black male in his early 20s. He is roughly 6’0″-6’2″ with a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, orange construction vest and a white surgical mask.
Suspect two is described by the HRPS as a black male in his early 20s. He is roughly 5’3” tall with a thin build. He was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and a black medical mask.
The resident of the home was not physically injured as a result of the robbery.
Police urge anyone to report any suspicious activity to police immediately.
