Milton Sports Centre (2020)
The Town of Milton is holding a fun event for Family Literacy Day.
On Friday, January 27th, residents can stop by the Milton Sports Centre for a morning of skating and storytelling.
It starts with a family skate at 9:15 a.m. Families can then join members of the Milton Public Library for a story read-a-long, activities and crafts after their skate in the Kinder Room (located on the upper level, beside the walking track) starting at 10:15 a.m.
Family Literacy Day is an annual national awareness initiative established in 1999 to raise awareness of the importance of reading and engaging in other literacy-related activities as a family.
Registration for the 9:15 a.m. family skate opened on Tuesday, January 24th. Registration is not required for the story read-a-long hosted by the Milton Public Library.
You can find the Milton Sports Centre at 605 Santa Maria Boulevard.
