The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has made an arrest in connection with another drug trafficking case.
In the fall, officers became aware of a suspect and observed him conducting numerous drug transactions in Oakville and Mississauga.
On Thursday, January 19th, a Controlled Drug and Substances Act search warrant was obtained and executed at a residence in the area of Vanderbilt Road and Tenth Line West in Mississauga. A search warrant was also executed on a vehicle associated to the suspect.
As a result of the search, the following was seized:
- Approximately 4 ounces of cocaine
- Approximately $20,000 in currency
- Other items consistent with drug trafficking
32-year-old Rishawn Simpson of Mississauga has been arrested and charged with:
- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance – Cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
Simpson was released on an Undertaking.
