
The Halton Region has shifted to COVID-19 updates once a week.
The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show ten additional deaths in the totals. Four of the deaths were reportedly Oakville residents, giving the town 140 total deaths. Three of the deaths were attributed to Burlington, giving the city 186 total deaths. Two deaths were Milton residents, giving our town 82 total deaths. The tenth death was a Halton Hills, putting the town at 73 deaths. Halton is now at 481 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 208 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 57,577. There have been 1,715 total hospitalizations in Halton and 481 deaths.
In Milton, we had 58 new cases. That brings us to 14,881 total cases. There have been 393 total hospitalizations in Milton and 82 deaths.
There are currently three outbreaks reported in Milton:
- Allendale Long Term Care Home – Allen, Nelson & Halton Home
- Seasons Retirement Home – Second & Fourth Floor
- Congregate Living – Listed as #171
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,531,306 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,365,871 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 6142 total doses have been administered to people aged <5;
- 76,334 total doses have been administered to people aged 5-11;
- 112,293 total doses have been administered to people aged 12-17;
- 114,475 total doses have been administered to people aged 18-24;
- 73,717 total doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;
- 87,282 total doses have been administered to people aged 30-34;
- 102,939 total doses have been administered to people aged 35-39;
- 111,186 total doses have been administered to people aged 40-44;
- 117,789 total doses have been administered to people aged 45-49;
- 121,421 total doses have been administered to people aged 50-54;
