The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has wrapped up its annual Festive RIDE Campaign.
In partnership with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), the campaign ran from November 17th, 2022 to January 2nd, 2023. In that time, officers conducted 455 roadside tests. As a result, 52 drivers ended up being charged. That’s 11% of the stops ending with an impaired driving or drunk driving charge, if not both.
