The Halton Region has shifted to COVID-19 updates once a week.
The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show six additional deaths in the totals. Four of the deaths were attributed to Burlington, giving the city 183 total deaths. Another death was attributed to Oakville, giving the town 136 total deaths total. The sixth death was a Milton resident, giving our town 80 total deaths. Halton Hills remains at 72 deaths. Halton is now at 471 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 416 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 57,369. There have been 1,695 total hospitalizations in Halton and 471 deaths.
In Milton, we had 59 new cases. That brings us to 14,823 total cases. There have been 385 total hospitalizations in Milton and 80 deaths.
There is currently one outbreak reported in Milton:

Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,527,237 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,362,248 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 5,954 total doses have been administered to people aged <5;
- 75,683 total doses have been administered to people aged 5-11;
- 112,090 total doses have been administered to people aged 12-17;
- 114,311 total doses have been administered to people aged 18-24;
- 73,632 total doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;
- 87,147 total doses have been administered to people aged 30-34;
