In the first ‘Back to the Future’ movie, it took Marty McFly driving 142 km/h (88 mph) to go back in time with the DeLorean. On New Year’s Day in Milton, it took an unknown motorist driving 142 km/h to get a big ol’ speeding ticket.
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says they stopped the white Chrysler 300 Fourth Line. just north of 17 Sideroad. The street has a speed limit of 60 km/h.
In a tweet, the HRPS acknowledges that while Fourth Line might regularly see excessive speeds, 142 km/h is a little to fast for their liking.

The driver is now facing a 30-day license suspension after being charged, and the vehicle was impounded.
4th line just north of 17 side road is known for high speeds. We normally don’t see speeds of 142km/h in this 60 km/h zone though. 30day suspension and vehicle impoundment to go along with the applicable charges. May we suggest a New Year’s resolution to slow down? #toofast. ^DA pic.twitter.com/NjeUCcL3c7
