The Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation was presented with a cheque for $20,100 this week.
The Hospital Auxiliary was the source of the funds.
The money comes from sales of their Annual Raffle, which sold out this year.
President of SMH Auxiliary Gary Munro says it has been a challenging two and a half years for the Auxiliary, but they are thrilled to be
back supporting the hospital and fundraising for critical equipment needs.
This donation will go toward the purchase of two new stretchers for the Day Surgery Department, as well as a wheelchair scale for the Medical/Surgical Department.
The Auxiliary has contributed more than $1-million to the purchase of critical equipment for the hospital since 1928.
