
The Halton Region has shifted to COVID-19 updates once a week.
The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show five additional deaths in the totals. Two of the deaths were Burlington residents, giving the city 166 deaths total. Milton reported a death, giving our town 73 deaths total. Another death was an Oakville resident, putting the town at 125 deaths total. The final death was a Halton Hills resident, giving the town 72 deaths total. Halton is now at 436 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 226 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 55,871. There have been 1,567 total hospitalizations in Halton and 436 deaths.
In Milton, we had 38 new cases. That brings us to 14,579 total cases. There have been 353 total hospitalizations in Milton and 73 deaths.
There are currently two outbreaks reported in Milton:
- Allendale Long Term Care Home – Adams House, Halton House, & Nelson House
- Martindale Gardens Retirement Home – First, Second, Third, Fourth Floor
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,480,196 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,320,301 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 4,597 total doses have been administered to people aged <5;
- 73,418 total doses have been administered to people aged 5-11;
- 109,294 total doses have been administered to people aged 12-17;
- 112,336 total doses have been administered to people aged 18-24;
- 72,271 total doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;
- 85,322 total doses have been administered to people aged 30-34;
- 100,280 total doses have been administered to people aged 35-39;
- 108,267 total doses have been administered to people aged 40-44;
- 114,469 total doses have been administered to people aged 45-49;
- 117,229 total doses have been administered to people aged 50-54;
- 114,754 total doses have been administered to people aged 55-59;
- 107,133 total doses have been administered to people aged 60-64;
- 95,850 total doses have been administered to people aged 65-69;
- 90,110 total doses have been administered to people aged 70-74;
- 72,412 total doses have been administered to people aged 75-79; and,
- 102,454 total doses have been administered to people aged 80+.
The following is where the vaccine doses have been administered:
- 445,502 total doses have been administered through pharmacies and physicians’ offices;
- 36,122 total doses have been administered through other clinic settings;
- 998,572 total doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
