The Milton Menace are hoping to get out of their recent slump.
The Menace have won just one of their last five games. They’ll head to Brantford to take on the 99ers. The last time these two teams played, the Menace won 7-3 on Sunday, October 9th. You can read the recap here.
Milton has fallen to second in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) North/West Conference with a 14-3-0-2 record, good for 30 points on the season. Here’s how their skaters look after those 19 games:
In net, the Menace have relied on the split goaltending tandem of Christian Trianni and Will Goumas. Trianni has been the better of the two goalies, and has earned the bulk of the playing time as of late. Here’s how the duo is looking so far this season:
Looking at the other side of the ice, the Menace will be taking on the Brantford 99ers on Thursday night. Full transparency, they are near the bottom of the standings in the OJHL. Through 22 games, they are 4-16-0-2, giving them just 10 points on the season. They are 9th in the North/West Conference, and have the third-worst winning percentage in the entire league. The 99ers have also gone with a goaltending duo this season. They have split games evenly between Ben Bonisteel and Vyacheslav Gordeichuk. As is the case with Milton, the 99ers have also received better performances from one of their tandem goaltenders, with Bonisteel putting up significantly better numbers so far this season.
