The Milton Fire Department is hoping you stay safe this Halloween season.
As the temperature drops, and the Halloween decorations are put up, it’s important to stay fire safe. On Twitter, the MFD has issued some tips to keep in mind leading up to October 31st:
- Use a battery-operated candle or glow stick in jack-o-lanterns
- When choosing costumes, stay away from long trailing fabric
- Keep all decorations away from open flames and other heat sources like light bulbs and heaters
Driving is also a big emphasis this time of year. It’s important to remain focused and drive slow on Halloween night as many kids will be out and about this year.
