
Milton Menace fans cheer the team on during 2019-2020 season
It’s another win for the Milton Menace!
Our local Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) team went into Georgetown on Wednesday night to take on the Raiders. Coming into the game, the Menace were undefeated in regulation, with one overtime loss to the Collingwood Blues at the OJHL Governors Showcase in Cobourg.

The game started with scoreless action in the first period.
Milton then opened the scoring late in the second period at the 19:41 mark. Marco Iozzo was credited with the goal. Captain Owen Forester and Luca Rea got the assist. It was 1-0 after two periods.
The Raiders then quickly tied the game in the third period. Roughly four minutes later, the Menace took back the lead thanks to Aidan Hughes, assisted by Lucas Buzziol. Hughes then scored again at the ten minute mark, with assists from Dylan McFadden and Aidan Puley. Hughes then put away his natural hat trick goal with just under four minutes left in the game. His third goal was assisted by Buzziol and Tristan Tremble. The Menace beat the Raiders 4-1.
The box score has Will Goumas as the netminder for Milton. He stopped 29 of 30 shots for a .966% save percentage.
We’re officially ten games into the season for the Menace. Their record is 9-0-0-1 in those ten games, giving them 19 points on the season. As of Thursday, October 6th, they sit first in the North/West Conference, one point up on the undefeated Collingwood Blues (who have played nine games). Milton is also second in the OJHL standings, behind the Toronto Jr. Canadiens who are 11-1-0-0 in 12 games, good for 22 points on the season.
With the loss, the Georgetown Raiders fall to 3-4-1-1 in nine games with eight points on the season. They are seventh in the North/West Conference and 13th in the OJHL.

The Milton Menace next return to the ice when they host the Brantford 99ers at the Milton Memorial Arena on Sunday, October 9th.
Brantford has not won a game yet this season. They are 0-6-0-2 with two points this season. Their last game was on Friday, September 30th when they lost 4-1 to the Aurora Tigers in Aurora.
