“No cops, no stops!”
Some people actually believe that mindset. They will even get to the point of failing to stop at stop signs that they will roll right through the intersections without checking for pedestrians (or in this case, police cars). With #ProjectSafeStart underway around Halton, officers with the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) are patrolling local school zones in search of dangerous drivers.
In a video shared to Twitter by the HRPS, an officer came across one driver recently who failed to stop at a stop sign. The video even notes that several students were waiting to cross the street when this happened, though they were purposely blurred out of the video.
