The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show two additional deaths in the totals. Both deaths appear to be a Milton residents, giving our town 70 deaths total. Oakville is at 109 deaths total. Burlington is at 143 deaths total. Halton Hills remains at 68 deaths total. Halton is now at 390 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 173 new cases since Tuesday. The total number of cases is up to 52,402. There have been 1,379 total hospitalizations in Halton and 390 deaths.
In Milton, we had 36 new cases since Tuesday. That brings us to 13,833 total cases. There have been 321 total hospitalizations in Milton and 70 deaths.
There are currently two outbreaks reported in Milton:
- Allendale Long Term Care Home – Adam’s House
- Birkdale Place – Retirement Home
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,375,066 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,224,352 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 67,705 total doses have been administered to people aged 5-11;
- 106,164 total doses have been administered to people aged 12-17;
- 109,019 total doses have been administered to people aged 18-24;
- 70,086 total doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;
- 82,169 total doses have been administered to people aged 30-34;
- 95,783 total doses have been administered to people aged 35-39;
- 103,024 total doses have been administered to people aged 40-44;
- 108,475 total doses have been administered to people aged 45-49;
- 109,856 total doses have been administered to people aged 50-54;
