Tiger Jeet Singh Sr. with Councillor Mike Cluett, Teeing Off For A Miracle 2022
It was a record-setting event for the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation (TJSF) at its ‘Teeing Off For A Miracle’ golf tournament.
$110,000 was raised at the 7th annual event. The President of TJSF, Tiger Jeet Singh Jr., says it’s been an emotional experience.
“I am overcome with so many different emotions right now that it’s hard to explain what the journey was like in bringing back this event after Covid shut all of our live charity events over the past couple of years.” Adding, “I would never have expected the out pour of support that we received from sponsors and players. My heart goes out to every individual that came together in making this year’s event a tremendous success!”
The event is in support of TJSF’s 14th annual ‘Miracle on Main Street’ toy drive charity event, which is scheduled to take place in Milton in December. Proceeds from the golf tournament will go towards the purchase of toys, food and life essentials for families experiencing hardship via the Salvation Army and Halton Women’s Place; children admitted over the holidays at SickKids and McMaster Children’s Hospital; supporting local school initiatives such as mental health, breakfast programs, literacy and inclusive classrooms; and supporting the Boys & Girls Club of Peel.
Dignitaries and special guests included Honorable Lisa Raitt, Honorable Andrew Scheer, Milton MPP Parm Gill, Milton Mayor Gord Krantz, Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown, Peel Chief of Police Nishan Duraiappah, Maple Leaf Alumni Peter Ing, Milton Councilors Mike Cluett, John Challinor II, Rick DiLorenzo and Halton Hills Councillor Bryan Lewis. It truly was an international affair as players flew in from four different countries to attend.
“I would like to thank our Presenting Sponsor EY, Caddy Sponsor Deloitte, Hole-In-One Sponsor Wallace Chevrolet, Under Armour, Desjardins Insurance and Team Tiger Realty,” says Tiger Jeet Singh, Chairman of TJSF. “We are very grateful for the hospitality shown to us again by Granite Ridge Golf Club and continue to hold our event there because they’ve become wonderful Ambassadors to all our guests visiting from outside of Milton and Canada.”
