Residents are once again being reminded to make sure they know who they are on the phone with before sending any money.
This after South Simcoe Police say a senior in Bradford almost became the latest victim in to the Grandparent or Emergency Scam.
Investigators say the latest incident happened yesterday in Bradford by a man posing as a relative seeking thousands of dollars for bail.
The resident became suspicious before any money was exchanged.
Police say if you don’t recognize the number, don’t answer the call.
Never send money to someone you don’t know.
Don’t give out personal information and make sure you report suspicious phone calls to the Canadian Anti Fraud Centre.
