The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has released the latest crime stats report, along with the CityProtect crime map.
The report and map each detail when and where reported crimes took place in Milton. Between Monday, July 11th and Monday, July 18th, there were at least 38 cases of crime took place. Here’s what we found:
- A pair of theft cases on Thompson Road South on Monday, July 11th;
- a breaking and entering case on Trafalgar Road on Monday, July 11th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Leger Way on Monday, July 11th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Regional Road 25 on Monday, July 11th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Dalgleish Way on Tuesday, July 12th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Vanier Drive on Tuesday, July 12th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Weston Drive on Tuesday, July 12th;
- a property crime case on Gleave Terrace on Tuesday, July 12th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Ontario Street North on Tuesday, July 12th;
- a property crime case on Thompson Road South on Tuesday, July 12th;
- an assault case on Martin Street on Tuesday, July 12th;
- a theft case on Hobbs Crescent on Tuesday, July 12th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Caldwell Crescent on Tuesday, July 12th;
- a theft case on Santa Maria Boulevard on Tuesday, July 12th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Robinwood Crescent on Wednesday, July 13th;
- a property crime case on Bell Street on Wednesday, July 13th;
- a property crime case on Shortreed Crescent on Wednesday, July 13th;
- a property crime case on Thompson Road South on Wednesday, July 13th;
- a theft case on Panton Trail on Wednesday, July 13th;
- a theft case on Steeles Avenue on Wednesday, July 13th;
- a pair of property crime cases on Kennedy Circle on Wednesday, July 13th;
- a breaking and entering case on Twiss Road in Campbellville on Wednesday, July 13th;
- a theft case on Steeles Avenue on Thursday, July 14th;
- a quality of life case on Martin Street on Thursday, July 14th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Marshall Crescent on Thursday, July 14th;
- an assault case on Derry Road on Thursday, July 14th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Kennedy Circle on Thursday, July 14th;
- an assault case on Martin Street on Friday, July 15th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Steeles Avenue on Friday, July 15th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Childs Drive on Saturday, July 16th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Dredge Court on Saturday, July 16th;
- a theft case on Bronte Street South on Sunday, July 17th;
- a breaking and entering case on Robarts Drive on Sunday, July 17th;
- a breaking and entering case on Market Drive on Sunday, July 17th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Maple Avenue on Sunday, July 17th; and,
- a breaking and entering case on Esquesing Line on Monday, July 18th.
Of the 38 cases of crime, 22 were theft cases of some kind, seven were property crime cases, five were breaking and entering cases, three were assault cases, and one was a quality of life case.
With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
