A Milton organization has added a new aspect to its arsenal.
Fur-Ever Able Dog Rescue has partially relocated to Mono, just outside of Orangeville. There, they have opened up the Fur-Ever Farm. Founder Ashley Andrews says it’s about helping more than just dogs now.
The organization focuses on dogs in tough situations and more specifically, dogs dealing with disabilities. They mostly take on dogs and puppies with cleft palate issues. Andrews will raise them and look after their surgeries. When they’re ready, the dogs will then be put up for adoption.
Andrews is welcoming everyone to a grand opening in August.
The grand opening will be on Sunday, August 7th at its new location. The address will be shared to those who register for the free tickets. There will be food, games, live music, and the chance to learn and play with animals. Andrews stresses that the farm will not be a petting zoo, it will used purely for rehab and educational purposes.

Fur-Ever Able is also our partner for our Pet of the Week segments. If you’re interested in adopting, you can check the Fur-Ever Able adoption page. They have many other dogs currently in care, and you can read about them all here.
