The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has released the latest crime stats report, along with the CityProtect crime map.
The report and map each detail when and where reported crimes took place in Milton. Between Monday, July 4th and Monday, July 11th, there were at least 25 cases of crime took place. Here’s what we found:
- A theft of vehicle case on Bronte Street South on Monday, July 4th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Peru Road on Monday, July 4th;
- a property crime case on Mary Street on Tuesday, July 5th;
- a quality of life case on Main Street East on Wednesday, July 6th;
- a theft of vehicle case on van Fleet Terrace on Wednesday, July 6th;
- a pair of theft cases on Guelph Line in Campbellville on Wednesday, July 6th;
- a breaking and entering case on Twiss Road in Campbellville on Thursday, July 7th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Maple Avenue on Thursday, July 7th;
- a breaking and entering case on Lawson Road on Thursday, July 7th;
- a theft case on Ontario Street South on Thursday, July 7th;
- a property crime case on Heslop Road on Thursday, July 7th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Fennamore Terrace on Thursday, July 7th;
- a theft case on Kennedy Circle on Friday, July 8th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Lawson Road on Friday, July 8th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Kingsleigh Court on Friday, July 8th;
- a breaking and entering case on Cabot Trail on Friday, July 8th;
- an assault case on Bronte Street South on Saturday, July 9th;
- a theft case on Sixth Line Nassagaweya in Brookville on Sunday, July 10th;
- a property crime case on Brassard Circle on Sunday, July 10th;
- a property crime case on Clark Boulevard on Sunday, July 10th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Steeles Avenue on Sunday, July 10th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Sprucedale Lane on Sunday, July 10th; and,
- a pair of theft from vehicle cases on Dublin Line near Greystone Golf Club on Monday, July 11th.
Of the 25 cases of crime, 16 were theft cases of some kind, four were property crime cases, three were breaking and entering cases, one was a quality of life case, and one was an assault case.
With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
