Summer leaf and yard waste collections begin this week in Simcoe County. (July 4 Zone 1) and (July 11th Zone 2)
Residents are asked to place materials out on the Monday of your collection week, regardless of your regular pick-up day.
Use paper yard waste bags, compostable bags, cardboard boxes, or open-ended rigid containers.
Sticks and brush are to be bundled and tied with twine, bundles cannot be larger than 30 cm wide or 2 metres in length.
Individual branches cannot exceed 7 cm in diameter.
You are asked NOT place yard waste in your green cart.
To ensure collection, residents are asked to make sure items are not over the County’s weight limit of 20 kgs per container.
