One person is dead after a collision near the intersection of Martin Street and Market Drive in Milton today.
At approximately 11:26 a.m. Halton Police responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a white Ford Focus.
The driver of the vehicle was traveling northbound on Market Drive, crossed over the centre median and struck a southbound Hyundai Elantra.
The driver of the Ford Focus was transported to Milton District Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit attended the scene and has assumed carriage of the investigation.
Any witnesses to the collision who have not yet spoken to police are asked to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-825-4747 ext. 5065.

A collision in Milton has closed off a local street.
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says the collision happened in the southbound lanes of Martin Street at the Market Drive intersection. You’re asked to avoid this area as best as possible.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit is responding.
There is no time set for the re-opening of the street.
